Hi All!
I just to say we had babies today and boy do they look great!!!! We had American Satin raon and self red babies. This is from my foundation line and and a new line. The mother is a roan satin sow (red) and the dad is a satin self red out of my roan lines that did so well when I first statred, or should I say the reds did so good and they came out of roans. The great grandad won 4 legs and RIS and then gave me lots of nice red satin babies. We got 4 roans 2 sows and two boars and one red sow. Boy the color is the best I have ever gotten. The roaning is still hard to tell as they are still wet but they look like they will have some really nice heads. WOW Im so excited! I had kinda stopped orking on them because I was helping my son with his White Cresteds and just put them on the back burner, then I relized that soon my daughter wouldnt have much to show if we didnt do something soon. So this is so cool! Well I just had to share this with everyone! Thnaks! Sherrie

Thanks Cathy, We will miss you alot. It wont be the same! Well the White Cresteds are doing ok! We did get a darker color on the reds, the blacks im at a stand still. The two boars I have used so far both turned out to have Himi in the back ground the american I was hoping to put type and nicer color to the skin turned out to have Himi in the back ground a big surprise to me the WC I got from Kitty that had such nice color and type also had Himi in the back ground so he went as a pet to a really nice lady who loves him to death. I did keep the best sow with just a little white on her head because If I do find that nice black boar with out Himi I will maybe have two sows to breed to him. She has her dady's type and color. The nice thing about that sow I got from you is she gives me at least 6 babies at a time. I will be having some more reds in the next week or two and soon a litter of Reo. The black sow is reating and Im not sure what to breed her to now, afraid to breed to anything thats black. Oh I did keep a golden agouti baby sow, I got the mom from Chawn and breed her to Kathy Ricks GA american boar thats to die for. I almost didnt keep her, but it was ment to be and she has pretty good red color. No crest but the improvement from her mom to her is outstanding, Under color is alot darker or looks darker because of the good red it dosent look brown. Im Not givign up yet! Sherrie

yeah, I quit fighting the himi thing and just bred them anyway. I'd like to start culling the gene out but it can hide for a long time. I found that I'm getting better red color and less faded too. The red tends to look better if it isn't faded underneath.
Oh, I'm going to miss you guys!!!
