The catalog and entry forms are at rabbitshows.com. I sure wish I could go and join you all, but with 4Cs last weekend, a local show this weekend and Picnic in the Park show on the 16th, my pigs and I need a rest.

WOW! It was a great show. They said they had 200 animals for each show and that everyone that entered entered every show, This will be a yearly show that you wont want to miss. They had people from Az and Los Vegas and also we saw people from the North. Boy Cathy they had the White Cresteds there. I thought I would bring the boar I got for breeding to just help someone get a leg and when I got there they really didn't need him. I think there was close to 10 to 12 animals. Brindles, reds reo's were what they had. They had alot of Abbys as well. The American TSW class was big. Our very own Kim got RIS on Sharon Bakers table with her TSW int Sow and on the other two tables she got seconded to a pig that came from her lines and another breeders lines, so that is almost as sweet as the RIS win. Sharon Baker has done them before and knows how hard they are to do, so to me thats really special when a judge knows and you win like that! So congratulations Kim, and I'm so glad there was room for me to ride in the front seat on the way home! HAHA! So all you people that missed it don't miss it next year! We had a great time and they did a wonderful job at putting it on. Putting on shows isn't a easy thing to do and a triple is down right hard as h---. TTYAL, Sherrie

Sounds like fun. I have been noticing that more of the cavy shows now are not doing Youth And I don't go to only open cavy shows. Though ever since going to So. Cali one time for a show and not getting a single thing or any of the pigs doing good (didn't have many anyhow) I haven't wanted to go to Southern Cali shows, the only reasons I would go is if there are rare colors of Coronets for sale! What breed and variety of pig got BIS? Let me take a guess... either an American white or black or a Teddy broken?

Another one of our own board members Mildred Bader (tumbleweed texels) took BIS in both shows under Ron Smelt and Carol Sandler correct me if Im wrong Mildred =) not sure who took RIS in these shows, Mildred do you know? and then a TSW teddy, owned by a youth took BIS under Sharon Baker and I got RIS with a TSW american sow needless to say I was VERY happy about this as if anyone has ever shown under Sharon, we all know how critical she is about broken americans and TSW's, so to win under her meant the most to me as a breeder. Sherrie said it all about this show, it was a wonderful show and will definitely be put on the calendar for next year. San Gabriel is telling us that there will be a double show in Nov, and then another show in Dec, so we may have to venture down there again =)

Congratulations Kim on your RIS !!!! Well done ;D
Laurie Lash was RIS under Judges Ron Smelt and Carol Sandler with a beautifully presented Silkie
It was a fun show and very well organized with 3 shows running at once. Youth and Open competed together.
A big plus was that there was a Cavy Registrar available and I was able to get one of my boars registered.
Amy, Tamela, and I arrived home safe and sound to Arizona.

WOW that's great! Congratulations everyone!!! If you hear of dates for the other So. Cal shows, please post them. I have to put things on my calendar as soon as possible to get the time off. I enjoy the So. Cal Shows. The people are really nice and it is great to have some competition in White Cresteds. I like it when there are legs available, even if I don't win one.
We will miss you all this weekend!
