Yes Cathy, I do have alot of litters on the floor right now 17 as of yesterday and one left, I think. Boy do I have one thats very different, i can even describ him as far as the color goes. he is out if a roan (not planned) by a broken solid golden and white broken. i will have to take a picture and let everyone tell me what they think she might be! Very wired! Out of the 17 litters about 1/2 or just over 1/2 have had 6 in the litter, i need to count the babies so I can have an idea on how many babies i have right now! Anyways Kim has reminded me that Christmas is almost here! TTYS, sherrie

YIKES! 17 litters? Did you lose any of the sows or are they all just acting like nothing happened? And litters of SIX??? Wow. I just don't know what I'd do if the same thing happened here. At least sales seem to be picking up around here. Hope it is the same for you. did you get anything you can keep?

WoW! Doesnt even come close to it! I havent lost any sows, I have had some really big ones that had six and lost 5 out of them, mother bleed all day and wouldnt open so i could induce her, the next day she finally did and she had one live and the rest were like jello and very big, so i just used her to foster the others that has six in there litters. I think total of 8 or 9 that had six in the litter and most of them had no problem with the raising of them. They seem to be holding there own. these sows will get a much needed rest and be pampered as well, i only had twins and i though that was hard. I did get some nice animals that were planned and a few of the not planned ones look very promising as well, i just dont think I will use them for breeding but for show they will be nice. My roan sows babies were the most surprising, solid golden, broken solid golden on his head and blur roan on the butt all broken, the patches are one or the other very different, the other like I think I have said before is a color i just dont know at all, very cute and the color is interesting. I will bring a picture to the show and let you see what I mean, looks ticked patches but the under color is white the ticking Im not sure what color, you cant tell unless you pull the hair back. This is way more then I have ever had! Its funny I plan for the ones I want to go to show to have them litter in time for that and it never works, i dont plan and everyone gets PG right off the bat, go figure.! So Im hoping I can keep my head above the cavies to get the ones sold to pet people or 4hers who might only want a show animal/pet for fair and not to breed. I have had some stunning solid silver and white broken babies with some black and white as well and just for fun i have gotten some killer solid goldens and whites. Boy these have been really nice and I wasnt really going in that direction but the under color and top color make them really nice. So on the ones I planned on having, I will have my work cut out as to the best to keep, lots to pick from and so little room. Im now doing three breeds and about 6 or 7 colors so i need to stop soon. This has been my best year for having great babies and Im looking forward to putting them on the table and seeing if what i like the judges like! Well this is long enough so I will post later! See everyone soon that will be going to the show on Sat! Or at the Santee show in Dec. Sherrie
